The Ford Courier was first introduced in 1952 as a series of sedan deliveries based on Ford's full-size offerings. The first generation of Courier was powered by an inline six or V8 engine sending power to the rear wheels. Production of the first generation Courier lasted until 1960, and it would be until 1972 that Ford reintroduced the Courier name for the Second Generation Ford Courier.
