Ford Econoline - 1st Gen (1961 to 1967)

The first generation of Ford Econoline was introduced for the 1961 model year. The first Econoline was based on the Ford Falcon, and early passenger vans were marketed under the Ford Falcon Club Wagon name. The first generation was available in three main body styles, cargo van, passenger van, and pickup truck. Unlike many of its competitors, the Econoline featured a front mid-engine layout, with three inline six engine options (2.4L, 2.8L, 3.9L). Production of the first generation lasted until 1967, when the Second Generation Ford Econoline debuted. The Econoline pickup was only offered during the first generation.
