Ford Econoline - 2nd Gen (1968 to 1974)

The second generation of Ford Econoline was introduced for the 1968 model year. This new generation saw the model move away from its previous Ford Falcon roots. The second generation was based on the Ford F-Series, giving the Econoline a more robust and capable platform. Alongside two inline six (3.9L, 4.9L) engine options, the model's first V8 (5.0L) option was offered, as were cargo van and passenger van configurations. Production of the second generation Econoline ended in 1974 with the introduction of the Third Generation Ford Econoline.
