Ford Mustang GT Hardtop - 1st Gen (1969 to 1969)

The Mustang GT Hardtop was one of three body styles that was offered for the 1969 First Generation Ford Mustang GT. Sold alongside the GT Fastback (SportsRoof) and GT Convertible, the GT Hardtop featured a raft of performance enhancing upgrades over the base model, as well as a range of V8 engine options. These options consisted of the "H-code" (250hp two-barrel 351), the "M-code" (290hp four-barrel 351), the "S-code" (320hp four-barrel 390), and the "R-code" (335hp four-barrel 428). These engines were paired to a 4 speed manual or 3 speed 'Cruise-O-Matic' automatic transmission, both of which sent drive to the rear wheels. 1969 was the final year of the First Generation Mustang GT Hardtop, as the variant was discontinued due to the introduction of variants such as the Mach 1, Boss 302, and Boss 429.
