Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 - 1st Gen (1967 to 1968)

As part of the updated 1967-1968 Ford Shelby Mustang, the GT350 received a range of updates that gave the car a more agressive look, as well as improved mechanicals. Most notable amongst the styling changes was a longer front hood, defined rear spoiler, and new rectangular tailights that helped differentiate the Shelby Mustang from the standard Mustang. For 1967, the GT350 was only offered in a fastback coupe body style, with power coming from a 289 (4.7L) V8 that was tuned to generate 306hp. For 1968, the GT350 saw the introduction of a convertible bodystyle that was available alongside the fastback coupe. These 1968 cars saw the use of a new 302 (4.9L) V8 which had a reduced power output of 250hp, although a Paxton supercharger that added 33hp was optional. Both years saw the use of a 4 speed manual transmission or an optional 3 speed automatic to send power to the rear wheels. The 1967 and 1968 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 was replaced by the 1969-1970 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350.
