Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 - 1st Gen(1965 to 1970)

CMV $122,100

The partnership between Ford and Carroll Shelby is regarded as one of the most important and prominent in motorsport. This partnership was built around collaborations such as the Shelby Cobra, the Shelby Daytona, and various very successful racing programs. The Shelby Mustang GT350 was the first time the American masses had access to a product of that collaboration. The only model built throughout the entire run of 1st Generation Shelby Mustangs, the GT350 featured various engines through its production run. Ford used the famous 289 K-code Windsor engine for 3 years until it was discontinued. For 1968, a 302 Windsor V8 was used, followed by a 351 V8 used in 1969 and 1970. In the middle of 1969, Carroll Shelby terminated his agreement with Ford, leading to the Mustangs losing their Cobra tag. No production of 1970 models actually took place, instead, Ford re-VIN'ed unsold 1969 models under federal supervision.
