Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth (Europe) (1988 to 1992)

After the end of Sierra RS Cosworth production, Ford decided to create a four door performance Sierra variant, resulting in the Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth. The Sapphire used the same Cosworth YBB turbocharged 2.0L inline four as found in the Sierra RS Cosworth. While initially launched as a rear wheel drive model, in 1990, the Sapphire Cosworth was offered as an all wheel drive model. Production of the Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth ended in 1992.
