During its years of production, it was annually updated: Series I (1956), Series II (1957), Series III (1958), Series IIIA (1959), Series IIIB (1960), Series IIIC (1961), Series V (1963) and Series VI (1965). There was no Series IV. Over the years, the engine capacity increased from 1.4L (Series I and II) up to to 1.7L inline four engines in Series VI. In Australia, a Series VA model was launched in 1965 equipped with a more powerful 1.6L inline four engine and full synchromesh gearbox. The Hillman Audax Minx, available as a sedan, convertible and wagon, was produced until 1965, when it was replaced by the Super Minx.
