The Model E was introduced by Hupmobile in 1925. Its production took place in two different generations: 1925 to 1928 and 1939. During the 1920s, the Model E was a reliable and affordable car; in the 1930s, it adopted a more aerodynamic design and attempted to compete with larger brands. During its years of production, the Model E had different engines from 3.2L inline four up to 4.9L inline eight, always with a manual transmission and power sent to the rear wheels. Throughout its production, the Model E adopted changes in design and technology to remain competitive in a constantly evolving market. However, despite its innovations and build quality, the economic crisis and fierce competition led to the brand's demise in 1940.
