The Model W was introduced by Hupmobile in 1934. It was part of the line of automobiles produced by the company in an attempt to remain competitive during the Great Depression. Its power came from a 3.6L inline six engine that sent power to the rear wheels via a three speed manual transmission. The Model W was one of Hupmobile's last big bets before its decline. Although it had a modern design and mechanical improvements, the company faced financial difficulties and struggled to compete. The Hupmobile Model W was produced until 1936.
