The Iso Lele, also known as the Rivolta Lele, was a series of grand tourers introduced in 1969. The Lele, named for the wife of the Iso founder's son, was offered in a coupe body style designed by the legendary Marcello Gandini. These rear wheel drive cars were initially powered by a Chevrolet-sourced 5.4L V8 engine, but disgagreements with General Motors lead to the use of a Ford 5.7L V8 engine starting in 1972. Both engines were offered with manual and automatic transmission options. Although not used throughout production, the standard version was known as the IR6, while an 'IR6 Sport' performance variant was introduced in 1973. Production ended in 1974 with a total of 285 examples built.
