Jaguar Mark IV(1935 to 1949)

The Jaguar Mark IV is a series of cars built starting in 1935. Originally, the Mark IV was known as the SS Jaguar, and was made by the SS Cars company, which in 1945 would change its name to Jaguar Cars Limited.  The SS Jaguar would be renamed the Mark IV in 1945, and was offered as the Jaguar 1½ litre, Jaguar 2½ litre and Jaguar 3½ litre depending on the engine. The Mark IV designation was applied retroactively to differentiate these cars from the later Jaguar Mark V cars. Jaguar Mark IV cars were available as saloons or drophead coupes and were in production until 1949.
