The SS 90 was first introduced in 1935. A series of sports cars, the SS 90 was produced by SS Cars, a company that in 1945 would be renamed Jaguar Cars Limited. It was the first of the open two-seater sports cars known as Jaguar: and was labeled as the SS 90 labeled for its claimed 90 mph top speed and produced between 1935 and 1937. Only 23 examples of the SS 90 were produced before the model evolved into the SS 100.
