The Jaguar XJS was no stranger to the motorsport scene having competed in several touring car championships worldwide. It is well known in North America after Bob Tullius won the 1977 Tans Am championship with the famous “Group 44 - Quaker State” car. While in Europe, Tom Walkinshaw Racing gave Jaguar another title in the European Touring Car Championship 1982 with the brand new XJS, proving to be not only extremely quick but also very reliable. Even Australia got the powerful XJS at their local tracks, with Garry Willmington running the 1985 and 1986 season with Jaguar. Today XJS continue to be popular within the vintage car world, still being quick and competitive within their group.
