The Mk I Interceptor featured an all-steel body, as well as a striking design penned by Touring of Italy. This coupe-like design featured two doors as well as a large rear windscreen that served as a tailgate. The Mk I Interceptor was fitted with a Chrysler-sourced 6.3L V8 engine and available with a manual or automatic transmission. Production of the Mk I lasted until 1969, with a total of 1,024 examples built. Jensen would replace the Mk I with the Interceptor Mk II.
