Kaiser Dragon (1953 to 1953)

The Kaiser Dragon was a series of cars that were introduced for the 1953 model year. In 1951, Kaiser-Frazer had offered the Dragon as a trim option on their full size sedans, but this new iteration of Dragon was a standalone model. This new model was only available as a four door sedan, and was powered by a 3.7L inline six engine that generated 118hp, which was sent to the rear wheels via manual or automatic transmission options. The Kaiser Dragon featured a number of standard options including power steering, heater, radio, and an electric clock. Alongside these standard options, the Dragon featured a faux-bamboo vinyl top, as well as various additional trim elements. Production of the Kaiser Dragon was limited to the 1953 model year, with a total of 1,277 examples built.
