Kaiser-Frazer Frazer (1947 to 1951)

One of two initial models launched by Kaiser-Frazer was the Frazer. Introduced in 1947, the Frazer was the company's more upmarket offering, having been named for Joseph W Frazer. The Frazer was built on the same platform as its lower priced sibling, the Kaiser, and was offered in sedan, convertible, and hatchback body styles. These cars were powered by a 3.6L inline six engine which sent drive to the rear wheels via manual or automatic transmissions. Two of the most notable trim levels were the Vagabond hatchback, and the Manhattan, which was the Frazer's flagship. Production of the Frazer ended in 1951, when Joseph W Frazer left the company, and Kaiser-Frazer was renamed the Kaiser Motors Corporation.
