Lancia Fulvia Sport - Series I (1965 to 1970)

The 1965 to 1970 Series I Lancia Fulvia Sport was a fastback variant of the Fulvia Coupe Series I. The Fulvia Sport was styled by famed design house Zagato with notable variants including the Sport, Sport 1.3 and 13S. The distintive body was completely different from other Fulvia variants, achieving more efficient aerodynamics and lighter curb weight through the use of aluminum body panels. The interior was only fitted with two bucket seats, and the rear hatch could be electronically raised for cabin ventilation. Suspension components were unchanged from the Fulvia Coupe, including independent front and leaf springs at the rear. Dunlop discs handled braking at all four corners. Engines ranged from the 1.2L for the Sport, 1.3L narrow-angle V4 producing around 87 hp in the Sport 1.3 to 92 hp in the 13S. Power was sent to the front wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The Series I Fulvia Sport was cosmetically and mechanically updated in 1970 as the Fulvia Sport Series II.
