Lincoln Continental - 5th Gen (1970 to 1979)

The fifth generation of Lincoln Continental was introduced for the 1970 model year. The fifth generation saw significant revisions and the use of body on frame construction in order to reduce costs. The fifth generation Continental was powered by a 6.6L or 7.5L V8 engine, and was available as a coupe or sedan. The fifth generation Continental was in production until 1979 and was replaced by the short-lived Sixth Generation Lincoln Continental.
