The Lotus Cortina Mk2 was the second generation of the Lotus Cortina. Introduced for 1967, the Mk2 Lotus Cortina was developed under greater Ford stewardship than its predecessor, yet still maintained a large part of the mechanicals. The Lotus 1.6L twin cam inline four engine was tuned, giving the Mk2 more power. The updated Mk2 design featured a wider rear end, fitted with new and distinctive taillights. The Lotus Cortina Mk2 was in production until 1970.
