The Marcos Mantis was manufactured starting in 1970 as a 2-seater coupe or convertible sports car that was used as a road or race car. It was powered by a 4.6L Ford engine that produced 327 hp and could reach 170 mph. In 1998, Marcos decided to supercharge the engine to produce one of the few British production sports cars with over 500 bhp known as the Mantis GT. The total production of the Marcos Mantis was 51 cars.
