The 1500 was introduced in 1947 as a version of the Maserati A6. This elegant 2-door coupe with bodywork primarily designed by Pininfarina represented the brand's transition from trackside to sporting luxury. Equipped with rear-wheel drive, it featured a 4 speed manual transmission and a 1.5L inline six ​​engine with a Weber carburetor, developing from 65hp to 90hp depending on the version. Only 61 units were produced, making it an extremely rare model. It was notable for introducing the aesthetic and technical refinement that would define Maserati in the grand touring era. The Maserati A6 1500 was produced until 1951.
