The A6G 2000 was introduced in 1950 as a road-going evolution of the Maserati A6. This 2-door sports coupe was powered by a 2.0L inline six ​​engine with double overhead camshafts and Weber carburetors, capable of generating between 150hp and 160hp, depending on the version. It had rear-wheel drive and a 4 speed manual transmission. Around 60 units were produced, hand-bodied by manufacturers such as Zagato, Frua and Allemano, each with slight stylistic variations. It was notable for its technical refinement and for marking the consolidation of Maserati as a manufacturer of exclusive grand tourers, with a clear focus on sporty luxury. The Maserati A6G 2000 was produced until 1957.
