The Mercedes-Benz 170 V Cabriolet A was a sporty two seat body style variant offered for the Mercedes-Benz 170V . A four seat 170 V Cabriolet B was also offered. This variant had luggage storage behind the rear seat with no external lid to acces this comparment and its spare wheel was or the car´s rear panel. The 170V Cabriolet A was fitted with Mercedes´ M136 1.7L inline 4 engine that produced 37hp. Power was sent to the rear wheels trough a four speed synchromesh manual transmission. Production of the open top 170 V variants ended with the war, except for the 170 D OTP, which was a special four door cabriolet made especially for the German Police.
