As part of the very broad body styles offered by the Mercedes-Benz W136 170V Model, light commercial trucks, ambulances and delivery vans were produced. A chassis-only version was additionally available for third-party coachwork or a special-purpose bodies. During pre-war years around 90.000 light commercials vehicles were delivered but production halted in 1942 and restarted in in 1946 when just 214 vehicles were produced in the first year. This variants were powered by Mercedes´ M136 1.7L inline 4 engine that produced 37hp. Power was sent to the rear wheels trough a four speed synchromesh manual transmission.
