The Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI was a diesel powered variant of the S211 Wagon that debuted for the 2004 model year. The E 320 CDI was powered by Mercedes' OM648.961 engine, which was a 3.2L diesel inline six that had an output of 204hp and 369 lb ft of torque. Initially, drive from the engine was sent to the rear wheels via a 5 speed automatic transmission, but from the 2007 model year, a 7 speed automatic was used. Production of the S211 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI ended in 2009, with a total of 43,368 examples built.
