The Mercedes-Benz E550 wagon was a variant of the S211 Wagon that debuted for the 2006 model year. Although this variant was originally known as the E500, Mercedes-Benz renamed it E550 for the North American market. The E550 was powered by the M273.960 engine, a 5.5-liter V8 producing 382 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission. An all-wheel-drive version, known as the S211 Mercedes-Benz E550 4MATIC, was also offered. Production of the S211 Mercedes-Benz E550 lasted until 2009.
