Mercedes-Benz GL / GLS - X166 (2013 to 2019)

The second generation of the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, known as the X166, was introduced for the 2013 model year. The X166 GL had a more taller, wider and lighter design in compared to its predecesor, the X164 Mercedes-Benz GL. It was equipped with adaptive air suspension, as well as soft-close doors. Options such as active cruise control, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring systems were offered. All Mercedes-Benz X166 variants where equiped with the all-wheel drive 4MATIC system. For the 2016 model year, Mercedes changed the name of the GL to GLS, with the 'S' reflecting the models place as the top SUV offered by the brand. X166 variants include the GL450 4MATIC, GL550 4MATIC, GL350 BlueTEC, GL63 AMG, GLS450 4MATIC, GLS550 4MATIC and the GLS 63 AMG 4MATIC. Produced until 2019, the X166 Mercedes GL / GLS was replaced by the X167 Mercedes-Benz GLS.
