The Mercedes-Benz 170H was the last of the rear engined 'H' cars built by Mercedes-Benz. Introduced in 1936, the 170 H chassis was derived from it´s predecessor, the Mercedes-Benz 130 H and featured the 1.7L engine from the Mercedes-Benz 170V. This model was offered mainly as a 170H Sedan and 170H Cabriolet, The 170H was known to be extremely similar to the Volkswagen Beetle but "finer" and better equipped. The 170H was built in limited numbers, and eventually ended production in 1939 due to the beggining of WW2 and low demand.
