Mercedes-Benz R280 CDI - W251 (2007 to 2009)

The Mercedes-Benz R 280 CDI was a Diesel variant of the R-Class that was introduced for the 2007 model year. The R280 CDI was powered by Mercedes' OM 642 DE 30 LA wich was a 3.0L V6 engine that produced 188hp and 325 lb⋅ft of torque. This power was sent to the rear wheels through a 7 speed automatic transmission. Over the course of production, the R 280 CDI was also available in an all wheel drive version known as the R280 CDI 4MATIC. The Mercedes-Benz R280 CDI was built until 2009 when the model was discontinued.
