The Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss was a limited edition roadster built near the end of SLR production. The SLR Stirling Moss was inspired by the famed 300 SLR race car, which was driven by Sir Stirling Moss to victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia. These limited edition cars were offered in a special roadster body style that was designated Z199 by Mercedes. These bodies featured no roof and no windscreen, emulating the original 300 SLR. Although the SLR Stirling Moss featured the same supercharged 5.4L V8 engine and 5 speed automatic as the standard SLR, it featured a higher 651hp output. Just 75 examples of the SLR Stirling Moss were built, all of which were built in 2009.
