Mercury Cyclone - 4th Gen (1970 to 1971)

The fourth generation of Mercury Cyclone was introduced for the 1970 model year. The fourth generation Cyclone was offered as a performance focuse two door coupe built in three main variants, the base Cyclone, the Cylone Spoiler, and the Cyclone GT. A wide range of V8 engines were offered for the fourth generation Cyclone, with the most notable being the 429 Super Cobra Jet, offered only as part of the Drag Pack option. Production of the fourth generation Mercury Cyclone ended in 1971, although the Cyclone name was used in 1972 for a limited run of Mercury Montego variants.
