Mercury Eight - 3rd Gen (1949 to 1951)

The third and final generation of Mercury Eight was introduced for the 1949 model year. The third generation Eight featured updated styling, and was offered as a coupe, convertible, sedan, and station wagon. The most notable variant was the Monterey coupe, which was a premium coupe that would become its own model, the Mercury Monterey. Production of the Mercury Eight ended in 1951. Canadian versions of the Mercury Eight were known as Monarchs.
