Mercury S-55 - 1st Gen (1962 to 1963)

The first generation Mercury S-55 was introduced for the 1962 model year. The first generation S-55 was a performance focused version of the Mercury Monterey, offered with a range of V8 engines, including the notable 427 cu in Ford V8 available in 1963. Production of the first generation S-55 ended in 1963, and it wouldn't be until 1966 that Mercury would introduced the Second Generation S-55.
