The Meyers Tow'd was a series of fiberglass dune buggies that were introduced in 1965. Although based on the Meyers Manx, the Tow'd was not street legal, and was created to be towed to the desert or racetrack. Like the Manx, the Tow'd was built using a Volkswagen Beetle platform, but featured a slimmer body giving the cars a different appearance. Production of the Tow'd lasted until 1971, when Meyers closed its doors.
