Oldsmobile Toronado - 1st Gen (1966 to 1970)

The first generation of Oldsmobile Toronado was introduced for the 1966 model year. The Toronado was a series of front wheel drive luxury coupes fitted with a front mounted V8. For the first two years of production, a 425ci V8 (7.0L) was used, but from 1968 onwards an even larger 455ci (7.5L) was fitted. Drive from the engines drove the wheels through a 3 speed automatic gearbox. The first generation Toronado featured annual styling updates, and saw production run until 1970, when it was replaced by the Second Generation Oldsmobile Toronado.
