Packard Standard Eight (1928 to 1950)

The Packard Standard Eight was introduced in 1928. For the 1928 model year, Packard split their Eight model into the Custom Eight and the Standard Eight, with the Standard model being the more affordable and accesible of the two options. This First Generation of Standard Eight was powered by a 6.3L inline eight, and was built until 1932. In 1948, Packard would reintroduce the Standard Eight name for the Second Generation Standard Eight, a new range of cars based on the Packard Clipper that would be built until 1950.
