The Pontiac Grand Prix Hurst SSJ was a limited production variant of the 2nd Gen Grand Prix. Introduced in 1970, these coupes were created by Hurst Performance, and was largely a cosmetic package, but with a few mechanical improvements as well. For the first year of production, both J and SJ cars were converted, but for 1971 and 1972, only SJ cars were used. Although the majority of SSJs were finished in white, a few rare black examples were built. Production of the Pontiac Grand Prix Hurst SSJ ended in 1972.
