Porsche 911 Carrera RS - Standard Model - 993 (1995 to 1996)

The 993 Carrera RS, in standard trim (Option code M002), was available between 1995 and 1996. It was powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter Type M64/20 engine capable of 300 bhp at 6,500 rpm, driving the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. Looking to save as much weight as possible, every non-essential item from the car was removed. The Carrera RS tipped the scales at 1,280 kg. However, most were actually ordered with creature comforts added back in; air-conditioning, electric windows, air bags and comfort sport seats. Out of the 1,104 Carrera RS built, approximately 891 were built in the standard trim, making it one of the rarest and most collectable 993-generation 911's produced. In addition to the standard trim it was also available as the race-ready, yet street legal, 993 RS Clubsport (option code M003).
