Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe - Manual - 996.1 (1997 to 2001)

The 996 Carrera Coupe - Manual - was introduced in late 1997 (1998 in the US) along with the 996 Carrera Cabriolet sporting a 6-speed transmission, overlapping with the last year Carrera 993's. A water-cooled flat-6 engine replaced the popular air-cooled engine used in the 911 for 34 years, and the body shell received its first major re-design. Engine displacement was 3.4L and power output was 300 PS (221 kW; 296 hp).
