Porsche 911 - Base Model - SWB (1965 to 1968)

The base-model 911, produced from 1965 to 1968, was the core of Porsche’s product lineup during these years, and was offered alongside and the entry-level 912, which was a 911 body coupled to an upgraded, four-cylinder 356 engine. Each model year brought a unique set of updates, resulting in subtle but significant differences in mechanical, cosmetic, and comfort features. Initially available only as a Coupe for the 1965 and 1966 model years, Porsche expanded the offering for the 1967 model year with the introduction of the semi-convertible Targa. This year also saw the introduction of additional variants alongside the base model, such as the performance-focused 911S, and the luxurious 911L.
