Porsche Boxster - Base Model - Manual - 986 (1997 to 2004)

The base model Porsche Boxster was introduced in late 1996. The base model was launched with a 2.5-litre flat six-cylinder engine producing 150 kW (204 PS; 201 hp). In 2000, along with the introduction of the Boxster S, the base model was upgraded to a 2.7-litre engine which produced 162 kW (220 PS; 217 hp). Finally for model year 2003, styling and engine output were upgraded once again. The 2.7L engine would be rated at 168 kW (228 PS; 225 hp). The 986 generation was replaced by the Boxster of the 987 generation for model year 2005.
