Porsche Cayman - Base Model - 981 (2014 to 2016)

The Base Model for the 981 Porsche Cayman was introduced for the 2014 model year. The standard, or base, Cayman was powered by Porsche's 2.7L MA1.22 flat six engine. This mid-mounted engine generated 271hp and 213 lb ft of torque which it sent to the rear wheels via a 6 speed manual or Porsche's 7 speed dual-clutch PDK automatic transmission. Built until 2016, the Base Model 981 Porsche Cayman was a short lived offering that was replaced by the Porsche 718.
