The Saleen S7 was a high performance supercar that was launched for the 2001 model year. The S7 was the first Saleen production car designed and built by the company. This series of mid-engined supercars were originally powered by a 7.0L V8 engine that had an output of 550hp, but from 2005 onward, the engine gained twin turbos that saw power increase to 750hp. Power from the engine was sent to the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission. In 2017, in order to celebrate the S7's worldwide racing success, Saleen took seven existing S7 chassis and created the LM. Short for "Le Mans," the LM featured a 1000hp version of the 7.0L V8 found in previous S7 cars.
