The Daina was introduced by Siata in 1950. Its mechanics were based on the Fiat 1400, but extensively modified by Siata. It was available as sedan, coupe, convertible and open barchetta. It was powered by 1.4L up to 1.8L inline four engines. All Dainas featured rear-wheel drive and a 4-speed manual transmission. A distinctive feature of the Daina was its handcrafted bodywork, created by leading coachbuilders such as Stabilimenti Farina, Bertone and Frua. This car was homologated for the Mille Miglia.
