Although the Swallow name had been tied to Jaguar's early history, this iteration of Swallow was built by Swallow Coachbuilding Company, which had originally been established as an offshot of the company that would eventually become Jaguar. The Doretti was based on the Triumph TR2, and was only offered in a convertible body style.
