The T140/150 seventh generation Toyota Corona was introduced in 1982. It was available in sedan, coupe, wagon and liftbacks. It was notable for marking a major transition as rear-wheel drive and front-wheel drive versions coexisted. The T140/150 offered an extensive engine range including gasoline and diesel options such as the 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L, as well as turbodiesel versions. In transmission options, 4 or 5 speed manual and 3 or 4 speed automatic were available. This generation reflected a technical and market evolution, with more comfort-oriented versions and others that were more utilitarian such as taxi and commercial wagons. The T140/T150 was produced until 1987, when it was replaced by the T170 eighth generation Toyota Corona.
