The T190/200 ninth generation Toyota Corona was introduced in 1992. It was available in sedan, wagon, liftbacks and also as the Corona EXiV: a hardtop version with a more sporty and luxurious focus. It was fully front-wheel, with the exception of some commercial all-wheel drive variants. The T190/200 offered an extensive engine range including gasoline and diesel options such as the 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L, as well as turbodiesel versions. In transmission options, 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic were available. This generation was notable for incorporating more safety features such as airbags, ABS brakes and improved sound insulation, positioning the Corona as a globally competitive sedan. The T190/200 ninth generation Toyota Corona was produced until 1996.
