The S110 was introduced in 1979 as the sixth generation of the Toyota Crown. It was available in several body styles such as: 4-door sedan, coupe and wagon. It mantained its rear-wheel drive configuration and offered 4 and 5-speed manual transmissions, as well as a 3 and 4-speed automatic. Powertrain options included the 1.8L and 2.0L inline four engines, as well as the 2.6L inline six engine and the diesel options (2.2L amd 2.4L). It was the first generation to offer electronic fuel injection, and also introduced safety and comfort improvements, such as four-wheel disc brakes and more luxury features. The S110 was produced until 1983, when it was replaced by the S120 seventh generation Toyota Crown.
