The S150 was introduced in 1995 as the tenth generation of the Toyota Crown (not to be confused with the Crown Majesta). It was available in 4-door sedan body styles in variants such as Royal, Royal Saloon and Royal Touring. The S150 maintained its rear-wheel drive configuration, with some all-wheel drive variants available in select markets. Transmissions included 5-speed manuals and 4-speed automatics. Powertrain options included inline six engines with different displacements: 2.0L, 2.5L and 3.0L. In the Majesta variant the 4.0L V8 engine was introduced. Diesel options were also available. Equipment was improved with sound insulation, adaptable air suspension, stability control, DVD navigation, electric seats, dual climate control and premium audio systems. The Toyota Crown S150 tenth generation was produced until 2001.
